Oakenhill Wood
Oakenhill Wood is part of Moseley Green and Oakenhill Wood, an open-plan wooded area located between Parkend and Mallards Pike in Gloucestershire, approximately 4 miles north of Lydney in the Forest of Dean region. It is a Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust reserve and is a former heath area where birch is gradually taking over.

Wildlife
Notable for birdwatching throughout the year. Winter and spring are best times to visit. Summer species include Eurasian Hobby, European Stonechat, Eurasian Woodcock, Eurasian Nightjar, and Adders. Winter features large flocks of Hawfinch, Common Crossbill, Eurasian Siskin, and Brambling. Small wetland areas attract herons and Little Grebes.
