Nice woods to walk around. Unfortunately, there is so much litter. I visited on the weekend and was disgusted by the dog walkers who pick their dog's poo up and then leave the bags in the woods. Not only polluting the woods with plastic, but potentially killing wildlife with their laziness. Over an hour's walk, we collected a whole bag of plastic rubbish.
The forest is a large area with plenty of walks for all abilities. The main path is well tended to so will offer year round walking/riding. The colours in autumn are particularly spectacular.
Lovely forestry commission forest to walk around for hours , plenty of routes to get lost and avoid other people. Good for dog walking and seeing the wildlife
