Hartley Wood

Hartley Wood is a small 0.68-hectare (1.69-acre) woodland owned and managed by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council. Located in High Lane adjacent to the A6 road, it sits across from the Parish Church. A path runs around the wood and the southern side has been opened up and well maintained. A display board with a map showing numbered trees is located on Alders Green. Visitors will find this to be a surprisingly peaceful walk despite its location next to the busy A6.
