History
Historically walked by author Jane Austen. Her brother Edward Austen Knight provided a house nearby in Chawton village, and Jane spent her most productive literary years there, drawing inspiration from the local surroundings including these woods.

This is a great place to walk, with or without dogs. It is stunningly beautiful and full of paths that take several visits to find. Great all year round.
